Tomas Pesek : Presenter/Mediator PCC

President of ICF Slovak Charter Chapter

For twenty years, I have been dedicated to the development of the young generation. I have been looking for innovative ways to develop their potential and show them that they can do more than they think. Today, I focus mainly on the development of young men on the threshold of adulthood. However, I work more with adults. The field of education and the non-profit sector is very close to me and I like to get involved in projects that connect the corporate and non-profit sectors. This is also one of my tasks within the presidency of the ICF Slovak branch, where I have been working for four years. I also lead several long-term trainings on using the coaching approach when working with young people or in a school environment. My clients in coaching are very diverse. From top management in business, through school principals and leaders of various socially beneficial projects, to young people at the end of high school. My basic coaching training was mainly focused on firmly anchoring the ICF competencies of a coach and did not favor any specific coaching school. This versatility allows me to tune in to the client and adapt to how they think, how they view the world, or what tools and approaches suit them. For me, it is important that our conversation is useful for the client, aimed at the desired result, and brings important insights and awareness. I draw on various approaches from neuroscience, through the psychodynamic approach, to various learning theories.

Artur Tashchyan Panelist

I am Artur Tashchyan. I was born in Echmiatsin, Armenia, in 1982. I graduated Pyatigorsk State Linguistic University in 2005 as Linguist, Interpreter and translator of English and Arabic. Since 2006 I have been working in educational institutions, that is university, college and school. Currently I work as Abovyan basic school #2 Principal. In 2024 I was awarded as The best Principal of the year of Armenia due to numerous innovations and school development program. The school is big enough, it has 1630 students and 140 of staff members. Our students have 5 languages in the curriculum.

In 2025 our school team was included within only 4 other school in the international Future school program by Tallinn University, Estonia. Since 2024 the school has started to integrate coaching ideas in education itself and education management as well as Emotional Intelligence ideas and both really help us to bring new school culture and new perspectives.
